SHIP, LLC certification workshops are designed for instructors who are employees of licensed distributors or organizations who want to create serving leaders and serving leader cultures. These organizations and distributors are committed to the vision of:
Developing and connecting serving leaders and organizations that create: Flourishing Individuals, Purposeful Workplaces, and Thriving Economies.
The Serving Leader Certification workshop is a three-day, intensive program that requires instructors to deliver Serving Leader learning modules for observation and coaching by SHIP Serving Leader Master Trainers. A pre-requisite for attending the certification workshop is successful completion of the 5-module Serving Leader development workshop.
Each participant receives a complete set of facilitator guides at the beginning of the program. These facilitator guides provide all preparation instructions and step-by-step instructions for conducting the learning activities and delivering required lectures. These instructions also include recommended correct answers and responses for each learning activity.
Each student instructor will present at least two practice modules and receive detailed feedback with coaching. If required, a student instructor who has difficulty demonstrating the required skills and knowledge will have a third opportunity. If a student instructor has not demonstrated the required skills during the program, the organization will have the options of repeating the individual in a future certification workshop or sending another candidate at no additional charge.
The workshop addresses the following required competencies to be a successful instructor and assessment administrator for the SLDS:
- Knowledge of Content
